Emad and Caroline’s story started in 1989. Emad, training as a pizzaiola and Caroline, fulfilling her childhood dream & passion for freshly cooked food that started aged just 5. After, (we can only presume) some persuasion Caroline agreed to make an honest man of Emad in 1996.


A year later a derelict pub in Twyford realised their long-standing dream of opening their own family restaurant.


“La Fontana” became reality with Caroline as Chef and Emad as front of house. Roles which suit them well, priding themselves on now serving guests that they served as children 20 years ago
